Savannah Family Owned RestaurantThe Shell House restaurant is a locally owned family operation, which was established by the Garrett family on Wilmington Island in 1983 at Turner’s Creek Marina, now called Hogan’s Marina. After a fire in 1987, the restaurant relocated to their current location at I-95 and 204.
Managed by Lance Garrett, the operation still has direct oversight by the original owners who started the restaurant with a lot of late hours, recipe testing, hard work and dedication to make all the pieces come together.
Recipes are still tested to continue to meet the high quality food standards in order to be listed on the Shell House menu. Even new shipments of shrimp or fish are taste tested to ensure the flavors and textures are delicious and appetizing.
With a large banquet room and newly remodeled and expanded restrooms, The Shell House can easily accommodate small or large gatherings, up to 600 people.
